Scheduled Power Shutdowns in Jammu Kashmir Announced

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) have announced scheduled power outages across multiple areas in Srinagar and Jammu due to ongoing maintenance and upgradation work.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33KV Nagam-Hafroo Tap line is scheduled for March 18, 2025, affecting power supply to Hafroo, Lolipora, Watkul, Darwan, Barwah, Nagam, Nowpora, Gogjipathri, Shopora, and adjoining areas from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Additionally, for the stabilisation and improvement of the 33KV Potushai-Naidhal Tap line, power supply to Ajas, SK Bala, Sadunara, Bazipora, and nearby areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on March 19 and March 22, 2025.

Similarly, Chief Engineer, Distribution, JPDCL Jammu has informed that power supply to M/s Balaji Pigments, Kohinoor, Receiving Station SICOP, Old Industry, Hatlimorh, and adjoining areas will be disrupted on March 20 and 23 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Moreover, power supply to Channi, Marheen, Paharpur, Rajbagh, Chandwan, Haria-Chack, Nanan Barnoti, and adjoining areas will remain affected on March 19 and 20 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Authorities have urged residents in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements and cooperate during the scheduled maintenance work.
