“It is very unfortunate that some eligible students could not appear in the annual Class 10 board exams due to negligence at certain levels,” Itoo told reporters.

The minister confirmed that an inquiry has been launched. “An inquiry committee has been constituted, and anyone found guilty will face action. Playing with the careers of students is unacceptable,” she emphasized.

Regarding those affected, Itoo assured, “We will do whatever is feasible for the students who couldn’t appear for their Class 10 exams.”

On textbook distribution, the minister noted that 70-80% of textbooks have reached district distribution centers, and full delivery is expected before the end of the winter break.

Earlier, the government responded to public outcry by issuing admit cards to students whose exam registration forms were initially denied. Itoo reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that students’ academic years are not wasted. (KNO)
