Srinagar

Police once again house arrested Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, general secretary of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat on Tuesday. Police have also installed jammers in the house of Sehrai, said a Hurriyat(G) spokesman. He added that Syed Ali Geelani’s driver, Abdul Hamid was also arrested outside the house of Sehrai and he has been shifted to some unknown destination.

Sehrai’s house arrest was ended only a day before. He was put under house arrest in the morning of  February 9, when Afzal Guru was hanged in Tihar jail. Pertinently the heads of both the factions of Hurriyat factions, Syed Ali Geelani and Mirawiz Umar Farooq have been put under arrest in Delhi since the day Afzal was hanged. Both the factions allege that the cell phones of Geelani and Mirwaiz have been snatched by Delhi police and they are not even allowed to proceed to Kashmir.

  1. if they arrest or detain or hang the destination is liberation of Kashmir. this movement can not be stopped. India must realize the reality that Kashmir is not part of India or Pakistan. we have hundreds of thousand year history.
