Traffic department authorities on Sunday said that in wake of fair weather and road condition traffic will be allowed to proceed on the highway from Srinagar to Jammu tomorrow.

According to the advisory of the traffic department, both Light Motor Vehicles (LMV’s) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV’s) will be allowed to move from Srinagar towards Jammu.

However, Leh-Srinagar highway, connecting Ladakh region with the valley, and historic Mughal road remained closed for traffic due to the accumulation of snow.

The advisory said both Light Motor Vehicles and Heavy Motor Vehicles will be allowed to ply on the highway with some restrictions. LMVs will have to cross Pantha Chowk between 0600 hrs to 1200hrs.

It said that the LMVs will have to cross Levdora between 0800 hrs to 1400 hrs. No traffic will be allowed after the cutoff time from these checkpoints, he said, adding vehicles will not be allowed from the opposite direction. From ( Pantha Chowk/Peaks Chowk Bypass) Srinagar
