SRINAGAR
Senior separatist leader and Democratic Freedom Party President Shabir Ahmad Shah was Tuesday was released from detention after being kept in various jails for more than two months. A senior Police officer told KNS that Shah was handed over to Sader police Station by Humana Police wherefrom he was released in the evening. He was taken into custody by Police on February 09 in wake of Afzal Guru hanging.
Earlier DGP had said to KNS that the separatist leaders would be released once there is improvement in the ground situation.
