Democratic Freedom party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah was on Wednesday arrested while he was on his way to Parigam Pulwama along with his accomplices.

Spokesman said that Shah could not go the bereaved family as he was continuously under detention. “But today he had got an opportunity and was to visit the family members of Mudassir Kamran of Parigam. Islamic Political Party Chairman Muhammad Yusuf Naqash was also among the delegation led by Shah,” spokesman said. “Shah sahib was to express sympathy with the bereaved family members. But they were not allowed to visit the family members and were arrested near Wanpora.”

Freedom party has strongly condemned the arrest of their Chairman and said that the party chairman is not even allowed to visit the family members of the bereaved family.

“To visit the family members who have lost their dear ones, is a religious obligation and stopping that is a direct interference into the religious affairs of a person,” he said.

Freedom party said that “We are the guardians of the sacrifices of the martyrs and will continue our political struggle till the Kashmir issue is not resolved.”

Democratic Freedom Party has also condemned the shifting of National Front Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Muslim League Chairman Mushtaq-ul-Islam from Srinagar to Jammu and said that it political vendetta.
