Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Saturday while addressing a gathering outside Khankah-e-Moalla said that Shah-e-Hamadan (RA) taught us the lessons of Tawheed, God-fearing, self-confidence, self-respect and “freedom”.
The spokesman said that violence unleashed by the government and its “Kashmiri stooges” are only to confirm the fact that government is holding Jammu Kashmir by its “military might”. He said that hereditary state subject law guarantees our right of self-determination and unique national identity and fighting for it is our national duty.
Earlier, Malik also addressed the thousands of devotees at the shrine. The protest according to spokesman was against the “growing violence in southern and northern parts, spree of arrests and attacks on state subject law.”
Malik said that great spiritual saint Shah-I-Hamadan not only led us on the spiritual front but brought a revolution in our economic and social life also. He said that great saint taught us self- respect and led this nation to an economic freedom. For his best qualities, he was remembered by Sir Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal aka Allama Iqbal- a visionary, philosopher, poet and politician from subcontinent remembered him with the title of “Salar-I-Ajam”.

Throughout history rulers have tried to dent this unique identity and “RSS backed NGOs and others have been employed to tinker with it through Supreme Court”.
