Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai said for decades, the government is not only unwilling to solve Kashmir issue but has scuttled any attempt at the meaningful discourse on the issue, both internationally and within the country.

The spokesman in a statement said that on Delhi maintains the world’s largest military presence in a single region, to hold back the revolt that erupted against the rule and an uprising that continues in the form of political civilian resistance.

Expressing anguish, and condemning the alleged Murder of a Pakistani prisoner Shakiruallah who was allegedly beaten to death inside the Jaipur Central Jail, Sehrai demanded safety and security of Kashmiri prisoners must be ensured. He said Kashmiri prisoners lodged in different jails across India should be shifted to Valley. “We are deeply worried and concern about Kashmir political inmates, the spokesman quoted Sehrai as saying.

He also condemned the continuous detention of (TeH) leader Abdul Gani Bhat and Slapping PSA on Abdul Majeed Parray, Ghulam Mohd Sheikh, Sajad Ahmed and Mushtaq Ahmed Hajin and shifting them Kot Bilawal jail.

Meanwhile, Sehrai expressed grief over the demise of Mother of Bar Association, Noor Ul Amin and demise of President Anjuman- e-Tableegul Islaam south Kashmir Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed Khan.
