Police on Friday issued following statement regarding abductions in south Kashmir’s Shopian.
The statement is here reproduces as it is, saying that terrorists in a brutal act of terror killed an individual in district Shopian after he was kidnapped from Reban area of Shopian earlier.
“Three young men kidnapped forcibly by terrorists from Reban area of Shopian were identified as Reyaz Ahmad, Zahid Ahmad, and Basharat Ahmad, all residents of Reban Shopian,” said police spokesperson in a statement.
“The two of them were set free, however, Police retrieved the dead body of one Basharat Ahmad from village Nikloora in Pulwama. His body was handed over to his family after completion of medico-legal formalities,” he said.
“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered for this terror crime in the concerned Police Station and investigation has been initiated in the matter,” the spokesman said.
