“Despite the academic year being well underway, these essential resources remain out of stock in local markets and bookstores,” parents said.

They said neither JKBOSE stalls nor private bookshops have the required books, leaving families struggling to support their kids’ education. The situation has placed immense stress on students, especially those studying in ninth class, affecting their ability to keep up with lessons and potentially widening existing educational disparities.

Parents urged the authorities to address this issue immediately. They called on the Education Department and JKBOSE to ensure that the textbooks are supplied without further delay. [KNT]
