Expressing concern over the issue of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hazratbal, Hurriyat Conference (g) Thursday expressed great concern over the deployment of CRPF within the campus.

Hurriyat Conference (g) expressed dismay over the deteriorated situation at NIT Srinagar and appealed all the students to show maturity and brotherhood with each other.

“Outstation students are our guests but at the same time they must go through the historical background of Jammu Kashmir and understand the severity of the state as it is not the state of India like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar,” a Hurriyat Conference (g) statement said.

“It is a disputed territory and India is only ruling the state with its military power and we the people of the state are struggling since last 69 years against this forcible occupation to get Right to Self Determination,” the statement said.

Addressing non-local students, the Hurriyat amalgam said that they should know the sensitivity of Jammu and Kashmir and “not to demand for installing tricolour in the premises of the institution and it is not acceptable and practicable for the people of the state by anyway and the continuously disturbance can make the atmosphere bad and it will affect the carrier of the students”.

Hurriyat Conference (g) said, “replacing CRPF instead of J&K Police will create misunderstanding between the local and non-local students and if this move will take place the Intervention of the New Delhi will be considered in this regard.”

Appealing students, Hurriyat Conference (g) said, “they should concentrate on their precious studies and not to destroy the college atmosphere and not to interfering in feeling and thoughts of each other.”

Meanwhile, Hurriyat patriarch, Syed Ali Geelani while paying glorious tributes to slain Waseem Ahmad Malla and Naseer Ahmad Pandith said, “youths are sacrificing their precious lives for the sacred cause and lefts huge responsibilities on our shoulders to carry forward the mission.”
