As rains across valley halted early Thursday, the Irrigation and Flood Control department this morning said that there is no need to panic as ‘situation is under control’.
Speaking to Kashmir Life, Chief Engineer I&FC said that the water has level at Sangam in South Kashmir has stabled at 26.80 ft (Status: RED).
“In South Kashmir, the water level is stable and is not rising,” Engineer Javed Jaffar said adding, “we hope the water shall start receding.”
The head engineer said that the situation is under control and there is no need to panic. The I&FC Wednesday late evening had declared flood in South Kashmir and many villages were inundated with villagers moving to safer places.
