SRINAGAR: Six Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were killed in two separate encounters in last 24 hours in south Kashmir, police said.
In a tweet police spokesman quoted Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that six militants associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit were killed in two separate encounters in Kulgam and Anantnag districts of south Kashmir.
“6 militants of militant outfit JeM killed in two separate encounters. 4 among the killed militants have been identified so far as (2) Pakistani & (2) local militants. Identification of other 02 militants is being ascertained,” police tweeted.

Earlier officials said during the initial exchange of fire, two army men and a cop were injured who were later shifted to hospital for treatment.
