SRINAGAR
In addition to seventy two dewatering permanent stations, SMC Tuesday pressed into service thirty eight more dewatering mobile pumping units at various locations of the city including Hamdania Colony, Bemina, Chanapora, Peerbagh, Lal Nagar, Aali Masjid, Bakshi Stadium, Kothibagh, Samandar Bagh, S.P Colege, Palpora, Shalteng, Goripora, Rawalpora, Mehjoor Nagar for dewatering the storm water in inundated areas.
Besides deploying mobile pumping units at various locations, the total number of eleven pumping units has been permanently deployed at the vulnerable spots of the city.
