The higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley, including Gulmarg ski resort, received snowfall on Thursday. The weather office has forecasted a dry and pleasant weather during the next six days.

Director of the weather office Sonum Lotus said, “From tomorrow till Nov 5, the weather would remain dry and pleasant in the valley, although mornings and evenings would be cold.”

“The night temperatures will not fall further during this period.” He added.

The minimum temperature was 4.8 degrees Celsius in Srinagar Thursday, while it was 1.4 in Pahalgam, minus 0.2 in Gulmarg, 2.0 in Kargil and minus 1.8 degrees Celsius in Leh town of Ladakh region.

Lotus said the minimum temperatures are likely to rise during the next six days which would be comparatively warmer.
