Militant out-fit Hizb-ul Mujahedeen claimed the responsibility of the attack in Chankhun area of Sopore in North Kashmir  which led to death of Special Operation Group’s Assistant Sub Inspector Kafeel Ahmad and injuring three others.

In a telephonic statement to KNS, Baleeg-Ud-Din, Hizb operational spokesman said that the outfit carried out the attack and the militants have reached safely to their hide-out.

The reports received by KNS informed that the militants gave slip to the forces and fled after Police, CRPF and Army in Chankhun area of Sopore Tuesday had cordoned off the area.
