SRINAGAR: A youth was seriously injured after a fight broke out during a volleyball match in the Qaimoh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, an altercation broke out during the match, following which the youth was allegedly attacked with a knife and sticks.
The injured youth was initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital Qaimoh for treatment. He was later referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, for further treatment.
A police officer confirmed that an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of law and that an investigation has been initiated. (KNC)
