State Congress president Prof. Saifuddin Soz and senior Congress leader and film actor Raj Babbar addressed workers meeting at Magam, Budgam and Aywa Kadal, Ali Jan Road, Gassi Mohalla, Iddgah on Wednesday.
Those who accompanied them included Moinul Haq Secretary AICC, Mohammad Muzaffar Parray MLC, Vice President, Shameema Raina, Farooq Andrabi General Secretaries, Shameema Sopori and others.
Addressing the gathering Prof. Soz told the people that Congress alone can sever them better and this is the Party which can fight communal and divisive forces in the Country and serve the people best. He also said whenever Congress got the opportunity it ensured development of the people in all the three regions of the State.
He said that he was confident that at this critical movement, people of Kashmir will remain steadfast to fight nefarious designs of those who are a danger to their cultural identity.
Raj Babbar was cheered when he rouse to speak. He made an appeal to the people to fight for Congress candidates and support the party as it alone can support Kashmir peoples thinking on how to fight divisive forces and how to protect the Kashmiriyat which is the cultural identify of Kashmir. He said this is the most opportune time to think collectively how to remain together and how to fight their enemy.
Raj Babbar said that it is the battle of ideas that people of Kashmir can fight best.
