On the eve of World Environment Day, SP College Srinagar adopted Primary School, Brandkani, Faqir-Gujri. The college faculty visited the school today and provided them with some basic teaching learning material (TLM).

“The college intends to adopt the school for improving the academic and extracurricular dimensions of the school with a plan to work on regular basis in order to bring a paradigm shift in their overall development. Regular visits to the school will be made by the college authorities to assist this school in taking a stride forward,” an official statement said this evening.

In continuation to this programme, the college is planning to ensure proper exposure of the students to laboratories, library, museums and sports facilities by facilitating their visits to the college campus, the statement said.

“The college will also provide opportunity to the students to show-case their talent. Time to time interaction of the students with the college faculty and college students will also be arranged.  Field visits will be arranged to generate environmental awareness and make them aware of their responsibilities towards the environment and society of the State.”
