The decision comes ahead of the Winter Schedule 2026, which will take effect on October 25. Airlines are currently filing slots for late-evening flights to and from Srinagar, a move expected to improve connectivity and offer passengers greater flexibility during the winter season, an airport spokesperson said in a statement.

With the restriction withdrawn, the earlier cut-off for operations beyond 5 pm no longer applies. Flight operations will be planned according to the applicable schedule, subject to operational requirements.

The airport has advised passengers to check the latest flight status and departure timings with their respective airlines before leaving for the airport.
