Train service remained suspended for the third day on Saturday for security reasons in south Kashmir following the killing of six militants in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district.

However, train service was normal in north Kashmir, a senior railway official told Kashmir Life.

He said a fresh advisory was received from the administration, including police not to resume train service in south Kashmir on Saturday also.

He said, therefore, no train will chug on Budgam-Srinagar-Islamabad-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
