Speaking to reporters in Jammu, Itoo said that deliberations on the matter are in progress.

Calling statehood the right of JK’s people, she noted that a resolution supporting it had been passed in the assembly. She also pointed out that Home Minister Amit Shah had made commitments in Parliament regarding its restoration.

Meanwhile, Itoo, who serves as the Minister for Health and Medical Education, announced that directions have been issued for the release of salaries to National Health Mission (NHM) employees.

In a post on X, she reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting healthcare workers and ensuring timely payments.

“I have passed directions for the release of NHM employees’ salaries. The government remains committed to the welfare of healthcare workers and ensuring timely support for their invaluable services,” she said.

NHM employees had earlier raised concerns over salary delays and urged the government to resolve the issue at the earliest. (KNO)
