Srinagar

Authorities have put strict restrictions in the south town of Pulwama to foil the “Parigam Challo” call given by ‘Mutahida Majlis-e-Mashawrat’ (MMM) on Tuesday. MMM, had appealed the people to gather in Parigam village to pay tributes to Mudassir Kamran, who was found dead in his hostel room of Hyderabad University of English and Foreign Languages on Saturday evening.

“Heavy deployment of police and CRPF is not allowing us to move out of our houses,” Bashir Ahmad, a resident of Pulwama town told Kashmir Life on Phone.

Police have also sealed the route to Parigam village from Nawgam side and concertina wire has been erected at a number of places to stop people from moving towards the village.

Police sources told Kashmir Life that all the measures have been taken to maintain law and order.
