Hurriyat Conference (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani Wednesday paid tributes to the “martyr” Bilal Ahmed of Karimabad Pulwama, who achieved martyrdom in a gun fight.

In a statement issued here, he said our “brave hearts” are sacrificing their precious lives to end the “Indian occupation” thereby leaving a heavy responsibility on our shoulders to carry forward the “noble mission” at any cost. “On the directions of Geelani a delegation comprising Bashir Ahmad Qureshi, Ghulam Mohammad Hurra and Hafiz Mudasir Nadvi visited Karimabad and participated in the funeral prayers and extended the condolences message of Geelani sahib to his family.”

Geelani said that the young generation of Kashmir is opting guns instead of pen due to “stubborn approach of India”. He said the level of affiliation and affection which the local people showed with the “brave hearts” is clear message for India that their “occupation at the barrel of gun” has no future. Geelani strongly condemned “the demolishing of houses and orchards during encounters” and said that it speaks volumes of their bravery.
