SRINAGAR: Security forces have unearthed a suspected militant hideout in the Bhangai forest area of Thanamandi in Rajouri district during a search operation, officials said on Friday.
The hideout was detected during an area domination operation conducted on Thursday evening in a densely forested area concealed by thick vegetation.
During the search, security personnel recovered two packets of rice, instant noodles, a knife, a lighter, a plastic sheet, an old blanket, a gas stove nozzle, two candles and a plastic bottle.
Officials said the recovery is part of ongoing operations to detect and dismantle militant infrastructure in the region.
