SRINAGAR: A large-scale search operation has been launched in the Bhatadhurian area of Mendhar subdivision following reports of suspicious movement.
The operation began early this morning under the directives of SSP Poonch, Shafqat Bhat.
A joint team comprising local police and the Special Operations Group (SOG) was mobilised promptly.
The operation is being led by ASP Mendhar, Mohan Sharma, and SP SOG Surankote, Sachin Gupta.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting thorough searches to locate any suspected elements.
Officials confirmed that the movement was detected during routine surveillance, prompting immediate action.
