JAMMU: Communist leader Yousuf Tarigami on Saturday appealed the House for a resolution that all parties must support the safety of the J&K students and businessmen in the rest of India. The resolution must go to the Prime minister Narender Modi with a request that he should personally intervene in this matter.

The House concerns are the outcome of the renewed indents of the attacks on Kashmir students in Haryana and Bhopal. Some Kashmir students who were on way to their hostels after their Friday prayers were attacked by a group of people and ruthlessly beaten. Though the Haryana police have registered a case and started investigations after the J&K Government intervened, the exact outcome of the investigations are still unknown.

Earlier speaking in the assembly, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori told the House that earlier a young man of 25 years of age was killed outside the state. Informing the Hous that the young man had aged parents and two sisters to take care of. Saroori identified him as Salahudin Khanday son of Nazir Ahmad Khanday a resident of Keshvan, who was a labourer. He was working in Royal garden Haryana and his body was found in Gal No 9 in Sector 4 of Kushwala Chowk. Saroori said the state government must take up the issue with the Haryana government and the murder should be solved at the earliest. The incident was reported on Wednessay, Saroori said.

Tarigami said the House must bring in a resolution and pass it too. “We must convey to the Prime minister the significance of threshing because it linked to the peace in the state and this all is in the national interest,” the communist lawmaker said. He said the parties must support the resolution cutting across party affiliations.

BJPs Sat Sharma said there was no harm in the resolution but there must be another resolution condemning the border shelling by Pakistan.
