SRINAGAR: In a first, Tata consumers Product Limited procured a consignment of fresh saffron flowers from India International Kashmir Saffron Trade Centre (IIKTC) Dussoo Pampore Director of Agriculture who monitored the procurement said the purchase weighed 45 kgs.
Director said that the GI Tagging of Kashmir saffron has increased its importance. The online marketing facilities at IIKSTC has made it easy for buyers and sellers to trade and the saffron grower has a wide range of market options available.
