SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha revealed a significant change in the Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) examination process on Thursday.

The contract that was previously held by Aptech Services, a company currently facing fraud accusations, will now be transferred to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), as confirmed by LG Manoj Sinha in an interview with a digital news outlet.

The transition to TCS as the new examination conducting agency is slated to begin in September 2023.

This decision follows months of protests by JKSSB candidates against Aptech, the former agency responsible for conducting exams and filling government department vacancies in Jammu and Kashmir.

The decision to replace Aptech stems from concerns regarding the security of their network. These concerns were raised by law enforcement and technical experts during the early stages of the examination process.

As a result of these apprehensions, several exams, including those for Sub Inspector and Junior Assistant positions, were canceled by the High Court in December 2022 due to allegations of paper leaks and fraud.

The transition to TCS is aimed at ensuring a more secure and equitable examination process for JKSSB candidates. (KNS).
