SRINAGAR: The Teach for India Fellowship 2024 is an opportunity provided by Teach For India, a non-profit organisation, inviting young graduates from universities and workplaces to serve as full-time teachers for children from underserved communities. The fellowship aims to equip selected fellows with the necessary leadership knowledge, skills, and mindset required to promote educational equity. Fellows who are chosen for the program will receive a monthly stipend of ₹23,040 along with a housing allowance ranging from Rs 5,300 to Rs 10,000.
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be either Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and have completed their graduation by June/July 2024. They should also be applying for the Teach for India Fellowship 2024 group for the first time since July 2023.
Apart from the financial benefits, selected fellows will also receive health insurance of up to Rs 1,00,000 and access to free counseling services. They will be entitled to casual and sick leave, national, regional, and school holidays, as well as a summer break. After completing the fellowship, participants will have access to a career fair.
The application process involves registering online, taking an eligibility test, and submitting required documents. The deadline for applications is March 17, 2024, before 11:59 PM IST.
