SRINAGAR: A 16-year-old boy was injured in a landmine blast near the Battar Nalla area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday.
Officials said that Bilal Ahmad (16) was loading sand into a tractor at Battar Nalla when he accidentally stepped on a landmine, triggering an explosion. The teenager sustained critical injuries in the incident and was immediately taken to Poonch Hospital, from where he was referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.(GNS)
