Those Forced To Attend PM’s Public Meet, Should Raise Protest Inside: Er Rashid

MLA Langate Er Rashid Wednesday said Kashmiris are not essential commodities who can be used by leaders like Narendra Modi for misleading the world community and destroy the facts.

Addressing a series of public meetings in Handwara and adjoining areas today, Er Rashid condemned “RSS controlled state administration” for terrorising people for making Modi’s public meeting a success.

He appealed people of Kupwara not to forget that Kupwara has sacrificed much for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

“Who doesn’t know the highest number of orphans and widows hail from Kupwara and there could be hardly a village which would not have suffered during last 25 years,” he said. “Let people of Kupwara not forget that they had been turning in thousands every year till 2014 to offer homage to late Abdul Gani Lone in martyr’s graveyard Srinagar. And each of them cutting across political ideologies must think ten times before deciding to participate in Narendra Modi’s rally. Any participation from Kupwara in Modi’s public meet will certainly be a dishonour to the sacrifices of late Abdul Gani Lone.”

Er Rashid further added that the way cabinet ministers have been camping in their constituencies and motivating daily wagers and casual labours to participate in PM’s public meeting, is a clear cut indication that their party cadres are not happy with what Mufti is doing.

He appealed those daily wagers and others who would be forcibly taken to public meet to raise peaceful voice and use their democratic right inside the venue and ask PM “Kashmiris need no packages but resolution to Kashmir issue”.
