Three civilian protesters have received bullet injuries after forces resorted to aerial firing to disperse the protesting civilians in Saderkoot Bala area of Bandipora district in northern part of Kashmir, police sources said.

The injured have been identified as Hilal Ahmed Wani, Latief Ahmed Khan and Suhail Ahmed Bhat from Sadrekoot Bala. All the three have been shifted to SKIMS for treatment.

The killing of three LeT militants in an encounter with forces in Sopore has resulted into clashes across many places in northern parts.

Sources said, besides, three bullet injuries many people have received pellet injuries during clashes.

While clashes are going on in Sopore and SK Bala areas, Hajin town of Bandipora district is tense, sources added.

Meanwhile, Curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in Baramulla town while schools and colleges at many places in northern Kashmir have been shut.

Earlier, two of the three militants were identified as Javed Ahmad Dar of Khanpora Sopore and Abid Hamid Mir of Hajin Bandipora.

Sources said that the third militant is a resident Handwara district. However, his identity could not be ascertained.
