Three army men were killed and another injured on Friday after an avalanche hit an army post in Machil sector of district Kupwara district.
An army post of 21 Rajput came under an avalanche on Friday at around 4:30 pm at Sona Pandi Gali (SPG) in Machil along the line of control, media outlets reported.
The three deceased army men were identified as Havaldar Kamlesh Kumar, Naik Balbeer and Sepoy Rajinder.
Reports said that four army men went missing after the avalanche hits army post and all the four army men trapped under snow have been evacuated.
However, one died on the spot and two others succumbed while being shifted to 92 base hospital Badamibagh, Srinagar.
Another soldier, identified as Sepoy Bipin is said to be stable and has been hospitalized, the officer said.
