A tipper truck had landed in the Tchunt Kul near Muniwar last night. Both the driver and the conductor are safe. But police says they have not come to any conclusion about how the truck landed in the erstwhile canal, reduced to a cesspool.
Police investigations suggested the truck was driven by Owais Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Kakpora. It was driving some construction material to old city. Before reaching the destination, it crashed part of the bridge railing and landed in the canal.
“I am personally surprised how the driver and the conductor survived without any bruise,” a police official investigating the case said. “I see it as will of God.”
The truck is still in the canal and the investigations are still in progress.
