Srinagar

A firing has started again at the encounter site in Tujjer area of north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Tuesday.

The firing was stopped for a couple of hours; however, an official confirmed that the firing has started again. The encounter between the militants and Army’s 22 Rashtriya Rifles, special operations group (SOG) and CRPF broke out on today early morning.

Reports said that as the government forces laid a cordon in the area, militants hiding opened the fire upon the forces in a bid to break the cordon, triggering a gunfight.

Meanwhile, authorities have also snapped the internet services in the area for “security reasons.”
