Two Indian Army porters were injured on Thursday after armies of India and Pakistan resorted to cross border shelling and firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

“Two local porters working for the Indian Army were injured when Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing,” Defence Ministry sources said in Jammu.

“The injured porters have been shifted to hospital for treatment. Indian positions have retaliated strongly and effectively,” the sources said.
