Two army porters were killed and three others sustained injuries on Friday after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged gun fire and shells along Line of Control (LOC) in J&K’s Poonch district.

A report by All India Radio said that Pakistan army lobbed the mortars at forwarding posts in Gulpur area of Poonch killing two porters and three others were left injured.

Soon after the incident, the injured porters were rushed to an army hospital for the treatment. The report also added that efforts are on to trace the bodies of two porters from the spot.
