Two militants were killed when army foiled an infiltration bid near line of control in Gurez sector of Bandipora District of Kashmir valley on Tuesday, the spokesman of Northern Command of Army said.

Currently Line of Control, which divides Kashmir into two parts controlled by India and Pakistan, is hot as the armies of two sides are regularly exchanging fire.

An army man and a minor girl were killed when Pakistani army fired mortar shells across Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Pirpanjal region on Monday. District administration Rajouri pressed in three bullet proof mobile bunkers into service to evacuate the people as shelling from Pakistan side continued on Tuesday. Reportedly students who were trapped inside a primary school building in Kadali village have been rescued.

Pakistani media reported that Indian troops targeted a vehicle of the Pakistan Army moving along the Neelum River which fell in the river killing four soldiers at Athmuqam on Sunday.
