SRINAGAR: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys for 84 subjects of the UGC-NET June 2026 examination, opening the window for candidates to raise objections against the answers.
Candidates can submit challenges online from August 16 to August 18 up to 11:59 pm. A processing fee of Rs 200 will be charged for each question challenged. The fee must also be paid by 11:59 pm on August 18.
Challenges can be submitted only through the official UGC-NET portal, **ugcnet.nta.nic.in**, and must be supported by documentary evidence. The NTA said challenges submitted through any other mode would not be entertained.
The agency said that the provisional answer keys for three subjects — English, Commerce and Sociology — have not been released as the complaints received regarding errors in their question papers are being examined.
A committee has been constituted to look into the complaints and make recommendations. Based on its findings, the NTA said a separate public notice concerning the three subjects would be issued later on Saturday.
Candidates have been advised to carefully verify the provisional answer key and supporting documents before submitting objections. The agency also urged candidates to rely only on information published on its official website and verified social media handles.
The provisional answer key and challenge facility are also available for candidates appearing in the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination. Candidates have been advised to check the relevant official notice and submit any objections within the prescribed deadline.
