“Along with the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan, international community especially USA and UK will have to use their good offices for the early resolution of Jammu Kashmir issue,” this was stated by Mohammad Yasin Malik, chairman JKLF.
In a statement issued to KNS, Malik has said the failure of international community in this regard will glamorize resistance based on violent means and this may affect the disputed regions especially Jammu Kashmir.
“The pro-India parties and politicians are the real source of misery for Kashmiri’s and these people are responsible for our sufferings. By reinstating our spiritual values, we can wash off the black stains making our society ungraceful.”
Malik and other JKLF leaders on their arrival in the area were accorded a warm welcome. Despite severe cold, people in large numbers came out of their houses to welcome Malik. Men, women, children, youth and elders chanting slogans in favor of freedom and martyrs took Malik to the central Chowk in a rally.
Malik said that anybody who thinks that Kashmiri’s have given up or are not with freedom cause should come here and see the enthusiasm and passion of people here who despite shivering cold are here because they love freedom and resistance .Yasin Malik said that these people are not here for any benefits, temptations, Incentives or financial advantages but only for the just cause of freedom and world sooner or later will have to respect this passion of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
Malik said that the people of Jammu Kashmir are striving peacefully for their birth right. These people are the Heirs of the sacred blood of their martyrs. These people have sacrificed and are still sacrificing their lives and wealth etc for this just cause. He said that this peaceful struggle is being reciprocated by state violence by India. Malik said that at the behest and persistence of the international community Kashmiri’s made a historical transition from violence to non-violence.
“We continued walking on this path despite brutal force, torture, oppression and suppression from India.” What is more agonizing is the criminal silence of the international community who are watching this oppression, added Yasin. He said that Kashmiri’s after the historical transition were thinking of world supporting their positive steps but instead of any support , Kashmiris found themselves being left alone to bear the inhuman and violent attitude of Indian forces.
Malik said that on one side is the plight of non- violent struggle of Kashmiri’s, their youth being pushed to wall and they being humiliated and on the other hand is the Withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan. We are today witnessing USA and NATO talking to Talibaan and ready to leave Afganistan. Malik said that this attitude of respecting violent movement and humiliating non-violent one is surely an act of glamorizing violence and when peaceful political space will be kept choked in Jammu Kashmir, this glamour can push youth to new Revolution.
