Thousands of people across Kashmir observed last Friday of Ramadan as Youm-e-Qudus to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians, who are facing the oppression from Israel for the past many decades.

Reports said that soon after the Friday congregation prayers ended in various Masjids across Kashmir, people took out rallies and processions to denounce the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

A procession taken out from Masjid-e -Sahib-e-Zamanat Abi Guzar Bund in City Centre Lal Chowk Srinagar.

The procession taken out under the Intizamiya Committee Masjid Sharief led by Aga Syed Abid in which hundreds of people participated. The procession culminated at Press Colony Srinagar.

Quds Day is a day muslims from all around the world show their support for the oppressed muslims of Palestine. Rallies in support of palestine are held in every capital of the world. “I invite Muslims all over the globe to consecrate the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as ‘Quds Day’ and to proclaim the international solidarity of Muslims in support of the legitimate rights of the Muslim people of Palestine.”

The Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association (JKSA) organized special prayer Dua-e-Kumail  at historic Imambara Zadibal in Shaher-e-Khaas here on Thursday.The Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association Chief Patron and senior PDP leader Moulana Imran Raza Ansari presided over the function.

Ansari prayed for peace and prosperity in the state. The function started with the recitation of Holy Quran following which Moulana Sheikh Taha recited Dua-e-Kumail.Thousands of people were joined the special prayer to seek forgiveness for their sins and blessings on this occasion to achieve success in their lives.
