State Vigilance Organization (SVO) has raided the residential house of Executive Officer Municipal Committee Sumbal and Hajin located at Gazaliabad HMT and claimed recovery of various incriminating documents including the one that terms the officer as the owner of the palatial house.
The officer Abdul Rashid Shah is still on the run. Officials said they may not arrest him till they complete the investigations. The officers’s wealth includes two residential houses at Papchan Bandipora and Gazaliabad HMT, Alabrar Shopping Complex at Madina Market Bandipora consisting of 15 shops and seven kanals of land at different prime locations, sources tell CNS.
The officer is involved in a number of backdoor appointments and the issue is before the SAC that has already initiated a regular enquiry against the then minister Tara Chand, now the deputy Chief Minister.
