Srinagar:
After becoming the first International airliner to start operations from Srinagar in February this year, Air Asia took passengers by surprise by starting announcements on board in Kashmiri language.
Air Asia is a Malaysian low-cost airline headquartered near Kuala Lumpur. The airline is largest Malaysian airline by fleet size and destinations, and Asia’s largest low-cost airline by passengers carried and jet fleet.
A video uploaded by a passenger on You Tube from Srinagar Airport demonstrates passengers on board and announcements being made as usual, but in pure Kashmiri language in a female voice cautioning people about the rules.
The passengers were taken aback by the surprise as the announcements were earlier made in Hindi and English only.
The mood of passengers clearly demonstrates the happiness on their faces.
