SRINAGAR

Two days after a meeting between the BJP secretary general Ram Madhav and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, the state BJP chief Sat Sharma said that the party looks forward to form government with PDP by March this year.

Hinting that the power projects would be returned to the state by the NHPC, Sharma told KNS over phone that whatever has been drafted in the agenda of alliance shall be implemented on ground in Jammu and Kashmir. “There is nothing new which has come up in the discussions over the government formation. Whatever has been drafted by the two parties shall be implemented in the state in letter and spirit.”

When asked that the return of the power projects as is mentioned in the agenda of alliance, the BJP chief, guardedly, said everything that has been mutually drafted would be implemented.

He said the party is looking forward to continue alliance with the PDP so that peoples’ government in the state is witnessed once again. “We really hope that by the end of this month the deadlock will end. We are looking forward to have a democratically elected government in place in the state” Sharma said.

He maintained further that there is no discussion going on within the party over any reshuffle in the ministerial portfolios. “Let there be government in place. Such things could be discussed later on. At present people are yearning for the government for they have voted for us,” BJP state chief said.
