The President Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) and MLA Langate Engineer Rashid Friday said that the authorities have turned blind-eye towards the problems of common masses of the state under the grab of Darbar Move.

In a statement issued to press, Engineer Rashid asked Omar Abdullah why his colleagues and bureaucrats have been missing in secretariat since last several days at the juncture when Darbar Move was on the cards.

Rashid said that the common masses were expecting that their genuine grievances could be addressed but the absence of the authorities have multiplied peoples’ agonies.

Rashid further castigated the authorities for making common people to suffer by the continuous absence from the secretariat.

“As the Durbar is about to shift to Jammu, people in large number come to secretariat so that their respective grievances could be addressed in Srinagar itself but non seriousness and absence of ministers and bureaucrats has added to the disappointment of people.”

Engineer Rashid has asked Chief Minster to explain as why the absence of the officials at Srinagar Secretariat is not being taken seriously and that at the verge of Darbar Move, how his ministers have kept the administration hostage by having futile visits outside secretariat without caring for common masses.
