On the call of joint resistance leadership, Kashmir Sunday is observing a complete shutdown.

According to reports, there is no public transport on the roads and shops, business establishments are closed.

The call given by Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik was against “human rights violations” in Kashmir.

To thwart the programme of submitting the memorandum to Srinagar station of UNMOGIP, authorities put in place restrictions.

According to reports, there is the significant deployment of forces on the roads leading to the office of observers.

Meanwhile, restriction have also been put in place o the movement of resistance leaders.

December 10 is celebrated as World Human Rights Day.
