A wreath-laying event was held on Friday morning in District Police Lines Shopian where tributes were paid to the slain Constable Javaid Ahmad Dar who was kidnapped and killed by suspected militants in south Kashmir’s Shopian.
A spokesperson in a statement said that SSP Shopian Sandeep Choudhary IPS led the Police officers and cops in laying the floral tributes on the mortal remains of the slain policeman.
“Among others, ASP Shopian Arif Amin Shah, DySP DAR Nisar Khan, DySP Hqr Ashiq Hussain Tak and other officers and Jawans paid floral tributes on the mortal remains of the slain,” the spokesman said.
“Last evening Ct Javaid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Hamid Dar Belt No 844/Gbl resident of Vehil Chatwatan was abducted by militants and killed,” said police spokesman in a statement.
