SRINAGAR: A youth died of electrocution while repairing an electric wire in the Daharmuna area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Zahid Ahmad Paul, son of Ab Satar Paul, a resident of Daharmuna village.
Zahid came in contact with a live wire while attempting to fix an electrical fault, receiving a fatal shock. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival, they said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further proceedings are underway. (JKNS)
