A youth was hit by a bullet during clashes in Pulwama town on Thursday.
Reports reaching here said that the youth was part of the protest demonstration when paramilitary CRPF troopers opened fire to disperse the protesters.
The youth has been identified as Ubaid Ahmad of Chatpora area of the district. The bullet has hit his left leg.
Ubaid was rushed to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment where his condition is stated to be stable.
Pertinently, the town witnessed ding dong battles between forces and civilian amid a complete shutdown.
Police and paramilitary forces resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes.
